Materials we cut for joinery & cabinetry

We cut a wide range of joinery-grade sheet materials on CNC, laser and knife equipment. Below is a practical summary of what we routinely process for kitchens, wardrobes, counters and fitouts.

All within 3000 × 1500 mm board size

Timber-based boards

  • MDF & HMR MDF — carcasses, panels, routed features.
  • Particleboard / chipboard — carcasses, shelving, plinth cores.
  • Plywood — structural panels, feature walls, furniture parts.

Plastics & composites

  • Acrylic — feature panels, logos, lightbox faces.
  • Foam PVC / Forex — internal signage and light-duty panels.
  • ACM — fascias, panel backers and feature trims.

Other sheet products

  • Laminate-topped boards (where appropriate routing is possible).
  • Rubber, foam and gasket materials for pads and seals (job-dependent).
  • Other flat board products that fit within 3000 × 1500 mm — ask if unsure.

If you're working with a specific board brand, core, finish or thickness, include those details in your enquiry so we can confirm it fits within our 3000 × 1500 mm cutting envelope and the appropriate process.

Why joinery & cabinetry teams work with us

Built for trade cabinet and shopfitting work

We're used to cutting real joinery parts, not just samples — from full kitchen carcass sets to retail fixture packs — so our processes fit in with how cabinet shops and shopfitters actually work.

One partner for boards, plastics and trims

Many projects combine board components with acrylic features, Foam PVC signage and metal trims. We can cut most of these flat parts under one roof, simplifying your purchasing and logistics.

Clear limits, honest about what we do

We're explicit about what we do and don't do — flat-part cutting only, no on-site install, no edge-banding or fine carpentry. That keeps expectations clear and makes it easier to plug us into your workflow.

More about joinery & cabinetry cutting

Open the items below for more detail on joinery cutting, cabinetry cutting and design tips for CNC-routed board parts.

For carcass parts and shelves, allow sensible clearances for hardware, avoid very thin webs between cut-outs, and keep hinge and screw holes away from edges to reduce splitting. If you send a cut list or schedule, we can help rationalise panels for efficient nesting on 3000 × 1500 mm boards.

Kitchens, retail and commercial fitouts often mix materials — MDF or particleboard for carcasses, plywood for exposed edges, acrylic for features and Foam PVC or ACM for signage. We can cut all of these as flat parts and advise a practical mix based on budget, durability and finish.

We stack and strap CNC-cut parts to protect edges in transit. Once in your shop, keep boards dry and stored flat before edge-banding and assembly. If you want parts grouped by room, cabinet or area, mention this and we'll pack accordingly where practical.

Most joinery & cabinetry cutting jobs dispatch in 1–5 business days once drawings, materials and quantities are confirmed. Larger kit runs or complex nested jobs may take longer, but we'll confirm realistic timeframes up front so you can schedule assembly and installation with confidence.

DXF/DWG preferred; AI/SVG/PDF (vector) accepted; STEP for context. Units in mm; outline text; remove duplicates/overlaps; include key dimensions or cut lists. Upload via the instant quote.

FAQ

Our cutting envelope is based around boards up to 3000 × 1500 mm, which covers common sheet sizes in MDF, HMR, particleboard, plywood, Foam PVC, ACM and many plastics. Larger panels are usually split across multiple boards and joined or framed by your workshop.

No. We supply flat, CNC-cut parts only. Edge-banding, hinge boring, drawer hardware, assembly and install are handled by your cabinet shop or subcontractors. This keeps us focused on efficient, accurate cutting, while you control the final joinery quality and detailing.

Yes. We regularly CNC cut melamine-faced boards, but tooling, feeds and nesting are set up to minimise chipping and edge damage. When you request a quote, note whether boards are raw or melamine-faced and which surfaces will be visible, so we can cut accordingly.

DXF/DWG are preferred for cabinet part outlines and nested boards. We also accept AI/EPS/SVG and vector PDF for simpler shapes. Keep geometry 1:1 in millimetres and include key dimensions so we can verify scale and board size (up to 3000 × 1500 mm).

Pricing depends on material, thickness, cut length, drilling and nesting efficiency, plus quantities. Well-prepared cut lists and nested layouts almost always reduce the unit price compared with ad-hoc drawings, especially on repeat work and multi-cabinet runs.
